Tehnical summary
Wallet Warden offers a frictionless web interface for enrolling user's web-based non-custodial wallets. The registration phase consists in connecting browser wallet, signing a message and setting up a channel for notifications about every transaction signed with that wallet. Additionally, the users needs to setup a new privacy-oriented RPC network inside their wallet to benefit the whole set of protection measures that we offer.
The message signing step with the wallet offers authentication for both parties. For us, it let us know that the wallet you want us to make safe truthfully belongs to the respective user, and for them it helps to know which wallet they enrolled and want to set up the live protection and monitoring on it, and to which they not.
The new RPC network setup in the setup wallet is an optional step to take, but without it our protection provided would be much more limited and there are significant more risks about leaking crucial identifying metadata about customers, leading to probable phishing attacks against them from malicious actors such as hackers or state-sponsored actors. To make it even more frictionless, and for a better general user experience, we are already planning an "Add to <detected browser wallet>" functionality, but until then, it is worth mentioning that this step will be followed only once, at the enrollment phase.
After everything's setup for the app to work properly, a secured and private notification regarding every transaction details and requesting a decision about it will be sent through the channel of user's choice. Everything left for customers to do at this point is understanding every key-point of their actions and making an educated decision.
