Business Model

Sustainable planning

To achieve a sustainable business model, the entire Wallet Warden platform relies on transparency and agility. Because we want to keep the game fair and share for everyone without stopping innovating and evolving, we adopt a dynamic business model in which the revenue is going in large proportion for sustaining and incentivising our community of threat hunters and fact-checkers and a smaller one for administrative and legal purposes, in order to maintain the project in full compliance with laws and regulation. After all, being the good guys, we have to stay on the bright side of the crypto story to be trustworthy and set an example.

Once the platform is fully launched, we'll offer our early adopters a full-fledge, freemium subscription plan capped at a specific number of transactions per month (mostly because of costs involved of running and operating different safety measures services). After the rate limit is reached, users will be faced with 2 options: continue with the free plan, having basic security needs met, or opt-in for a full-featured monthly/yearly subscription. Being an early-stage project, one can be sure that we'll keep in mind our first adopters and will reward them accordingly for helping as build the polished end-product. As of now, there are more ideas to be explored in that directions, but the current paper will be updated once the clear path is planned.

When it comes to revenue, the main revenue stream consists of monthly/yearly subscriptions for securing transactions. These will be split in three parts, as following:

  1. The first two thirds (2/3) will be allocated for our community of scam reporters and fact-checkers. As described in the Proactive Community section, they get rewarded for both the admission and validation of their reported scam/hack into our platform and every time a user transaction's is protected by their findings.

  2. One third (1/3) goes to an operating treasury for maintaining, operating and improving the services that make up the Wallet Warden customer protection solution.
